Penguins Asset Reset: All Draft Picks After Trade Deadline

Pittsburgh has plenty of draft capital

The Pittsburgh Penguins obtained quite a decent amount of draft capital on Friday, receiving generous returns for their trades of some fan-favorites prior to the trade deadline.

Did you keep track?

No? Good, because we already put together a list of all draft picks owned by Pittsburgh through 2027:

2025

First (2): Pittsburgh, New York Rangers
Second (1): Washington
Third (3): Pittsburgh, Ottawa, Minnesota
Fourth (1): Pittsburgh
Fifth (2): Chicago, New York Rangers
Sixth (1): Pittsburgh
Seventh (1): Pittsburgh

The Rangers’ first-round pick was originally acquired from the Vancouver Canucks, though it is conditional (top-13 protected). The Capitals pick was acquired in exchange for Anthony Beauvillier, while the Ottawa pick was acquired after taking on Cody Glass from Nashville.

2026

First (1*): Pittsburgh,
Second (3): Pittsburgh, Winnipeg, St. Louis
Third: (2): Pittsburgh, San Jose
Sixth (1): Nashville
Seventh (1): Pittsburgh

The Rangers would send their first-round pick in 2026 if that protected pick doesn’t convey in 2025, so it might be two.
