Ex-Steelers QB Gets Engaged To Grammy Award Winner

Do you remember 'Duck' Hodges?

Lainey Wilson and Devlin “Duck” Hodges announced last week they were engaged to be married.

Why does anyone care?

Wilson, mostly, became one of country music’s top stars, winning a Grammy Award for “Best Country Album” in 2024. Hodges is a less notable name, though folks who remember his run with the Pittsburgh Steelers might disagree.

Hodges became a fan-favorite in 2019, taking the reins as starting quarterback after Ben Roethlisberger got injured and Mason Rudolph struggled in relief. The Steelers rallied behind the man known as “Duck,” who went 3-3 in his brief career as a starter but inspired plenty of memorable memes.

Pittsburgh released him in 2020 before he went on to spend time with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021 and the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League in 2022.
