Jared Jones is a man of many talents on the mound for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He’s made his career in baseball and apparently not in golf.
The starter got mic’d up in a new video for the Pirates’ social media channels. Jones immediately fielded challenges about his golf game from multiple teammates.
“Yeah, I suck at golf,” Jones told pitcher Thomas Harrington. “Is that a problem?”
Beyond his actual swing, more teammates also laid out a few joking accusations that Jones cheats in the PGA video game with swing controls.
“No, there’s swing timing,” Jones said. “It’s just shapes.”

Jones and the Pirates prepare for their first spring training game on Saturday Feb. 22 against the Baltimore Orioles.
