Steelers Defender Hates Idea Of Adding ‘Retirement Home’ Aaron Rodgers

Rodgers has been linked to Pittsburgh

Count DeShon Elliott among those who think the Steelers should stay far away from Aaron Rodgers.

The Steelers safety took to social media Tuesday and commented on a post that cited Pittsburgh was the favorite to sign the Jets quarterback. New York reportedly informed the 41-year-old Rodgers last week it intended to move on from him.

“Leave his ass at the retirement home,” Elliott commented, as shared by Penn Live’s Nick Farabaugh.

The 27-year-old Elliott has one season remaining on his two-year, $6 million contract with the Steelers. He started 14 of the 15 games he played in 2024.

Pittsburgh has surfaced as a potential landing spot for Rodgers because the Steelers have a need behind center. Both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are set to hit the open market and neither did anything to cement themselves as the starter going forward.
