Steelers Reportedly ‘Split’ Over Russell Wilson Decision

Pittsburgh isn't firm on a decision

Russell Wilson or Justin Fields?

The Steelers have essentially been making that decision on a weekly basis for several months, but that could change moving forward.

FOX’s Jay Glazer offered some insight into the decision-making process and claimed that we would see a “fresh start” for Wilson moving into 2025. The Steelers could reverse course, however, as Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette claims they haven’t made a decision one way or another.

“I’m not sure if they are ‘clearly’ leaning one way or another because I know there is something of a split sentiment,” Dulac said Thursday.

Wilson obviously helped the club make a playoff run when he finally got healthy, but many believe there was an aspect of the offense missing with him out on the field. Fields’ running element was sorely missed at times, leaving Pittsburgh to essentially choose which way it wanted to be one-dimensional.

Just as they were throughout the season, the Steelers are still split.
