The Pittsburgh Steelers could be in for a total makeover on offense this offseason.
Both contributing quarterbacks in Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are free agents along with starting running back Najee Harris. Mike Tomlin’s squad needs to identify direction and talent. New reports suggest the Los Angeles Rams could help with that.
George Pickens can make plays on the outside for Pittsburgh, but a dynamic weapon like Cooper Kupp could control another layer of the passing attack. After Kupp announced the Rams will seek a trade partner for the Super Bowl LVI MVP, Bovada listed the Steelers as the betting favorite to make a deal for Kupp.
Whether it’s resigning Wilson or turning to the NFL Draft, what better way to appeal to the “new” quarterback in Pittsburgh in 2025 than with the addition of an All-Pro receiver who is as accomplished as any receiver in football?
Kupp has two years left on his deal with an average of a $28 million annual cap hit. Pittsburgh has $40 million in cap space at the moment to fill holes and retain a quarterback. The Steelers have decisions to make and Kupp could shape the direction of offseason decision-making.
