Despite the Pittsburgh Steelers’ season ending after a first-round playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens, a few of their players’ seasons aren’t over yet.
Pittsburgh began the season strong with a 10-3 record, but a late-season losing streak left them at 10-7, facing Baltimore in the playoffs. A select group of Steelers players will continue their season after being named to the Pro Bowl Games.
Special teams ace Miles Killebrew was the most recent Steelers player to be named to the Pro Bowl, according to Steelers.com.
“Steelers special teams ace Miles Killebrew has been named to the Pro Bowl Games,” they said. “This is the second straight year that Killebrew will participate in the Pro Bowl Games, after he was selected to the games last year. Since he signed with the Steelers in 2021, he ranks first in blocked punts in the NFL with three.”
“Killebrew is replacing New England Patriots special teamer Brenden Schooler, who is unable to participate due to injury. Killebrew joins kicker Chris Boswell, safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, defensive tackle Cameron Heyward and linebacker T.J. Watt, who were voted to the Pro Bowl Games as starters, representing the black and gold in the games.”

The Steelers special teams captain has been with the team since 2021 and had a great year with 13 special teams tackles this season, eight of which were solo stops. Killebrew was named to the First-Team Associated Press All-Pro in 2023 and has been a great piece for Pittsburgh.
With the addition of Killebrew to the Pro Bowl, the Steelers are tied with the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs for the fifth-most players sent to the Pro Bowl this year with five.
