Star Wide Receiver Reveals He’d Play For Mike Tomlin, Steelers

Pittsburgh should be listening

After a rough playoff loss to their divisional rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the team’s fans could use some good news — something that a former All-Pro wide receiver has provided.

The Steelers watched their 2024 campaign come to a screeching halt at the hands of the Ravens on Saturday night, losing by a score of 28-14 when Baltimore rushed for 299 yards against them.

Pittsburgh’s offense had more problems running the ball than passing, but their main problem for much of the season — as well as their five-game losing streak to end the year — was the up-and-down passing attack. While the quarterback situation will figure itself out this offseason, the Steelers could use some help with their receiving corps.

Dating back to the preseason, the Steelers continuously tried to acquire wide receiver help — including trying to trade for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuki and New York Jets wideout Davante Adams.

Well, one of those players has openly shown interest now in playing for Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin.

In his weekly guest spot on “Up & Adams” with Kay Adams, the Jets wide receiver revealed he’d love to play for Tomlin.

“Oh, 100%,” Adams said. “I love Mike. I think any time you have a coach who is a player’s coach and you can tell they got a way with their guys, you know those types of coaches whether they coach me or not, they always win me over. I’ve had nothing but respect for him and it’s been mutual.”

Adams still has two years left on the five-year contract he previously signed with the Las Vegas Raiders.
