The Pittsburgh Steelers ended the season on a really rough note despite making the playoffs and there has to be a reason for it.
Pittsburgh lost to the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night in the NFL Wild Card Round, losing by a score of 28-14. Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry dominated for Baltimore, forcing the defense to look for answers as they rushed for 299 yards on the ground against them.
The same couldn’t be said for the Steelers and their rushing attack — they totaled just 29 yards on the ground in comparison. Pittsburgh’s lead rusher Najee Harris only totaled 17 yards on six rushes
After the game on Saturday, the running back revealed to Amazon Prime Video’s Taylor Rooks that the media was in the minds of the Steelers during their five-game losing streak — which may paint a picture of their continued struggles.
“This came from a visibly frustrated but candid Najee Harris, who said that the guys have been saying things in the locker room that he didn’t necessarily want to say on camera but that he felt like throughout the losing streak, a lot of guys were letting what the media were saying infiltrate the locker room,” Rooks said. “He wanted to see how they responded today.”

Harris is a free agent after this season due to the Steelers not accepting his fifth-year option during the offseason. The 26-year-old may have played his final game with Pittsburgh in the loss to Baltimore.
