The Pittsburgh Steelers’ season didn’t end up they wanted it to.
Pittsburgh was 10-3 at one point and looked like one of the top contenders in the AFC. The Steelers’ offense was looking good with Russell Wilson under center and the defense was dominant. Things changed over the final five weeks of the season and Pittsburgh ended the season on a five-game losing streak including Saturday’s Wild Card Round loss against the Baltimore Ravens.
Now, the Steelers will turn their full focus to the offseason. The team will have a chance to get a head start on NFL Draft preparation as well as can start to think about free agency, although there is a lot of time left until it actually kicks off.
Pittsburgh will have a lot of tough decisions to make this offseason. The first and biggest certainly revolves around the quarterback position. Both Justin Fields and Wilson will be available in free agency, but they aren’t the only important Steelers pieces heading to the open market.
