The Pittsburgh Steelers will have some very intriguing players hitting free agency after the season.
Pittsburgh is in a much different position than it was last year. The Steelers are 10-5 on the season and the biggest reason for the success has been improved quarterback play. Pittsburgh went out and got both Justin Fields and Russell Wilson and both have been solid this year when they have been on the field.
It would be amazing to have both around forever as contingency plans. But, neither is under contract for the 2025 season and it would be very expensive to sign both. Some have speculated that Wilson — who has been the starter for the last nine games — will end up being the guy for Pittsburgh beyond this season.
If that is the case, then Fields will likely leave. Any team with a need at quarterback could make sense for him. He’s young and can be a team’s quarterback of the future. Bleacher Report’s scouting department took a look at each roster and made suggestions to improve right now, this upcoming offseason, and in the draft. Bleacher Report suggested Fields should go to the Tennessee Titans.
“2025 Free Agency: QB Justin Fields, Pittsburgh Steelers,” Bleacher Report said. “The final stretch of the 2024 season has made it hard to believe Will Levis will be the quarterback next season. The next logical step would be for the Titans to draft another signal-caller, but they might not be in a good range to do so in a shallow quarterback class.

“The Titans could prepare for such a scenario by signing Justin Fields. He did enough as the Steelers’ starter early in the season to justify a job as a bridge starter for a team next season. The Titans could sign the 25-year-old to take a more wait-and-see approach with drafting a quarterback in the spring.”
The Titans desperately need some help at the quarterback position. Maybe Fields could be that guy.
