The turnaround continues for the Pittsburgh Penguins with another big win.
Pittsburgh earned their second-straight overtime victory on Thursday night, this time against the Nashville Predator in a 5-4 win. It was another come-from-behind win for them also after being down halfway through the third period.
Bryan Rust played the hero for the Penguins when he scored the team’s first and final goal of the night — which was the game-winner that beat Predators netminder Juuse Saros. Rust had a four-point game in this one, also dishing out assists on goals by Sidney Crosby and Rickard Rakell. He now has 14 goals, 11 assists, and 25 points through 27 games this season.
The goal for Crosby was a big deal, as the captain had gone 10 games without finding the back of the net for Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh’s captain has nine goals on the season to go with his team-leading 26 assists and 35 points.
Tristan Jarry outplayed Saros in net, making 22 saves on 26 shots against Nashville.
