The Pittsburgh Steelers will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday but unfortunately won’t be at full strength.
Sunday’s Week 15 tilt between the Eagles and Steelers will be an interesting one to watch. Both Pittsburgh and Philadelphia are Super Bowl contenders so this will be a good chance to see how the two Pennsylvania juggernauts compare to one another. The Steelers are 10-3 entering the contest, and the Eagles are 11-2.
Both are at the top of their respective divisions but sadly we won’t get a complete look at the Steelers. Pittsburgh ruled out star receiver George Pickens for the contest on Friday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
“Steelers ruled out wide receiver George Pickens for Sunday’s game against the Eagles due to his hamstring injury,” Schefter said.
This is the second straight game that Pickens has missed. It seemed like there was a solid chance he would be able to play last week against the Cleveland Browns but he was ruled out late due to his hamstring injury. Clearly, the injury is still bugging him to the point where he still is out over a week later.

There are just four weeks to go in the regular season and Pittsburgh still is fighting for playoff positioning. Losing Pickens for any more time would hurt the team’s chances. Hopefully, he is able to return in time for Pittsburgh’s Week 16 clash against the Baltimore Ravens.
