The Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 15 with major implications on the line in the NFL playoff hunt. The Steelers enter at 10-3 while the Eagles surge into the matchup at 11-2. Both teams lead their respective divisions midway through December and could be one of the better clashes of the season.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin appropriately set the scene as the Quaker State teams prepare for this matchup.
“I’m really excited about this Pennsylvania state championship,” Tomlin told reporters Tuesday, per FOX53.
Tomlin’s joke is right in playing for playoff stakes and state pride, but Pittsburgh has its work cut out for it. The Eagles have not lost to their in-state rival at home since 1965 and enter the latest matchup with a 10-game winning streak at home against Pittsburgh.
The two sides battle at Lincoln Financial Field with kickoff set for 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday afternoon.
