The Pittsburgh Steelers’ Week 14 matchup against the Cleveland Browns holds special significance for Browns running back Nick Chubb.
During the Steelers and Browns Week 2 matchup in Pittsburgh last season, Chubb suffered a major knee injury, which ended his season and held him out until Week 7 of this season. Chubb underwent multiple surgeries to repair his leg and returned to the field after a long recovery. He recently scored two touchdowns when the Steelers played the Browns in Cleveland in Week 12, but will now return to Pittsburgh.
Chubb opened up to reporters about the significance of his return to Pittsburgh, where he suffered his injury last season, and how thankful he is, as transcribed by the Browns’ official team website.
“It’s a divisional game, so for me that’s enough for me to get excited about, but I’d be lying if I said I haven’t thought about it, going back to that place where it happened last year,” Chubb said. “But besides that, I’m always excited to play the Steelers.”
“Just going back there and knowing how it was last year, last time I played there, everything that happened and just being grateful that I’m able to run and play football again and move around. And I think more just the gratitude aspect of me being back there and being healthy.”

Chubb had his best performance of the season against the Steelers and will look to maintain that momentum in their second matchup. He has rushed for 243 yards on 82 attempts with three touchdowns in six games this season. The Steelers aim to widen their lead in the AFC North and beat the Browns after losing to them 24-19 previously this season.
