It’s the time of season when Pro Bowl votes are pouring in and the Pittsburgh Steelers are being represented well thus far after the first batch.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are off to their best start since the 2020 season when they started 11-0 — going 9-3 over the first 13 weeks of the season and sitting comfortably atop the AFC North with the chance to go two games ahead of the Baltimore Ravens this weekend. It’s been a constant team effort from Pittsburgh this season, as head coach Mike Tomlin would want it. While the offense has had its ups and downs with both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields at the helm, they’re coming off their best offensive outing yet after dropping 44 points on the Cincinnati Bengals.
The defense has played to the Steelers’ standard also. They rank sixth in total yards allowed per game in the NFL and are tied for sixth in points allowed at 18.7 per game.
The performances by the Steelers have left them receiving the fifth-most votes of any team in the NFL for the Pro Bowl. And when it comes to players, three Steelers sit atop their position with T.J. Watt having the most among AFC inside linebackers while Chris Boswell represents AFC kickers, and Miles Killebrew is at the top for AFC special teamers.
All three players along with the rest of the team will look to keep things going as the Steelers face the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, looking to make it an official two-game lead over the Ravens in the division.
