One Pittsburgh Steelers player is looking to quiet pundits around the league with his play, and it could happen on Sunday.
The Steelers are trying to get back into the win column after their tough loss to the Cleveland Browns in the snow on “Thursday Night Football” in Week 12. With so much time between the games, Pittsburgh has had to deal with a lot of the early-season doubts creeping back in despite their still impressive 8-3 record.
Much of the doubts stem from their failure to record 20 points over their last two games. They’ll have a great chance to turn things around against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, a defense that is allowing opposing offenses 27.0 points per game.
If the Steelers want to get things going, they’ll have to lean on their No. 1 wideout George Pickens — who has had a busy week after fighting Browns defensive back Greg Newsome II at the end of the tough loss. Pickens only had four receptions for 48 yards in the loss, which is part of the offense’s overall struggles.
ESPN analytics writer Seth Walder believes that Pittsburgh needs to turn things around through Pickens, which is why he’s predicting a 100-yard game from the team’s top wideout.

“Steelers wide receiver George Pickens will bounce back with a 100-yard game,” Walder said in ESPN’s Week 13 picks article. “Pickens has been great this season, with a 79 open score, 10th best in the NFL.”
The Steelers’ Week 13 game against the Bengals kicks off at 1 p.m. EST.
