The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off their toughest loss of the season on “Thursday Night Football” and they’re still feeling the ramifications of it with plenty of question marks popping up.
Pittsburgh’s shortcomings offensively have finally caught up with them, as they’ve now scored under 20 points in back-to-back games. The snow game loss to the Cleveland Browns on Thursday was a tough one as Jameis Winston and Nick Chubb managed to take them down with seconds to go.
As a result, the Steelers find themselves falling down many analysts and pundits’ lists as questions arise on how good the team truly is. It can be seen firsthand with the ESPN Week 13 NFL power rankings, as the Steelers dropped two spots from No. 5 to No. 7.
ESPN’s Brooke Pryor highlighted the team’s rankings on offense, defense, and special teams. While they’re top 10 with the third-ranked defense and ninth-ranked special teams unit, their offense is all the way down at 20th. It shouldn’t be a shock, as inconsistency has lasted throughout the season offensively — no matter if it’s Russell Wilson or Justin Fields at quarterback.
Pittsburgh is going to look to get back on track this Sunday when they face off with AFC North divisional rival Cincinnati Bengals. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. EST.
