Steelers Winning Streak Snapped, Fall To Browns In Snow Game

A tough night for the Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers entered “Thursday Night Football” intending to continue their winning streak but ultimately lost in a difficult back-and-forth, snow-filled affair with the Cleveland Browns.

Pittsburgh had notched five straight wins heading into Thursday, including the major win against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11. So, heading into a game against the 2-8 Browns, they were favored to keep things going but, in the end, came up short thanks to some late-game heroics by Cleveland.

The Browns were led by Nick Chubb, who scored two touchdowns, including the game-winning score with 57 seconds to go in the fourth quarter to give them a 24-19 lead. Cleveland also saw success in the passing game, as Jameis Winston was 18-of-27 with 219 yards through the air — most of which came with the snow falling.

For a second straight week, it was tough to score touchdowns for the Steelers as they only had two field goals to show for their offense through three-quarters of football. They did finally change their tune when Jaylen Warren scampered in for a three-yard score and then Russell Wilson found Calvin Austin III on a 23-yard passing touchdown.

The Steelers will have extended time to get themselves back on track as they prepare to play the Cincinnati Bengals on Dec. 1.
