Steelers’ George Pickens Called Out As ‘Fake Tough Guy’

Pickens doesn't have many fans in Cleveland

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens isn’t exactly known for being able to control his emotions.

Pickens (once again) displayed that inability in Thursday’s loss to the Cleveland Browns, where he had to be restrained by stadium staff immediately following a failed last-second attempt at the end zone — in which he decided to ignore the play and instead fight with Browns cornerback Greg Newsome II.

Pickens’ temper tantrum didn’t end on the field, either, as he continued to deflect his feelings toward the Browns.

“The conditions played a huge, huge part in today’s game,” he said following the game. “I don’t really think the Cleveland Browns are a good team at all.”

Newsome, clearly not being one to back down from a fight, responded with a simple tweet in which he called the 23-year-old a “fake tough guy.” The Steelers and Browns, thankfully, will play once again on Dec. 8, so we’ll get to see another matchup between the two.
