George Pickens Blames Conditions For Steelers Loss Vs. Browns

Pickens didn't give Cleveland much credit

The Pittsburgh Steelers came up short on “Thursday Night Football” against the Browns and George Pickens doesn’t think it’s because of Cleveland’s play.

Pittsburgh fell 24-19 to the Browns in a game full of snow and hiccups on both sides of the ball. Myles Garrett caused the most problems for the Steelers, recording three sacks and forcing a fumble on Russell Wilson — all of which came in the first half of the game. Jameis Winston also played well, throwing for 219 passing yards and adding a rushing score. Browns running back Nick Chubb had two rushing touchdowns also, including the game-winner with 57 seconds.

Cleveland did all they could to get the win with the difficult playing conditions, but the Steelers wide receiver isn’t here to give the Browns much credit for getting the win.

“Conditions played a huge, huge part in today’s game,” Pickens said, as transcribed by ESPN’s Brooke Pryor. “I don’t really think the Cleveland Browns are a good team at all. I think the conditions kind of saved them today.”

The AFC North rivalry makes Pickens’ comments not too much of a shock. That being said, the 3-8 Browns have earned two of their three wins against the Steelers and Baltimore Ravens. Cleveland played hard, no matter how Pickens and the Steelers may feel about the loss.
