What Steelers’ Mike Tomlin Told Mike Williams After Game-Winning Score

Williams certainly made the most of his Steelers debut

Mike Williams made the most of his Pittsburgh Steelers debut, and it earned him a warm welcome from head coach Mike Tomlin.

Williams, who was acquired from the New York Jets, caught the game-winning touchdown against the Washington Commanders on Sunday. Williams’ over-the-shoulder catch from Russell Wilson came with just minutes remaining and lifted Pittsburgh to a 28-27 comeback win.

Tomlin had a message for Williams when the veteran returned to the sideline, as shared by the NFL’s social media account.

“You’re a Steeler now, baby!” Tomlin told Williams. “You’re a Steeler now. Welcome.”

It marked the lone catch of the game for Williams, who played just 12% of snaps given his short introduction.
