The Pittsburgh Steelers will have their biggest game of the season so far on Sunday when they face off against the rival Baltimore Ravens.
Pittsburgh currently sits atop the AFC North standings with a 7-2 record, but Baltimore is right behind it with a 7-3 record of its own. The winner of Sunday’s clash will hold the top spot in the division and give itself the inside track to winning the division later on in the season.
It’s a massive matchup but it also will be somewhat of a homecoming for former Steelers star Diontae Johnson. He recently was acquired by the Ravens and opened up about his return to Pittsburgh, as transcribed by team insider Ryan Mink.
“Man, I had a great career there. I loved it,” Johnson said. “Great city, people great there. I know what they’re about. I can’t wait to get to Sunday to just be back in that stadium. I’m ready to get back there just to see the good people that I made relationships with and stuff like that. But other than that, it’s a big moment for me.”
Johnson was selected in the third round of the 2019 National Football League Draft by Pittsburgh and spent the first five seasons of his career in town before being traded to the Carolina Panthers. He was a Pro Bowler in 2021 and shined as a member of the Steelers. Hopefully, the Steelers earn another win and Johnson is solid in his return.
