A game-winning touchdown catch by newly acquired wide receiver Mike Williams sealed the Pittsburgh Steelers Week 10 victory over the Washington Commanders.
Pittsburgh’s win against the Commanders extended its winning streak to four games. With a 7-2 record, Pittsburgh sits atop the AFC North. The Steelers’ defense remains one of the top defenses in the league, allowing the second-fewest total points with 146 and points per game with 16.2. The team’s offense has kicked it up with Russell Wilson under center, scoring 26 or more points in each contest.
The Steelers were listed in the top six in Bleacher Report’s Week 11 power rankings, with analyst Brent Sobleski citing the improved offense.
“Everything is falling into place for the Steelers,” Sobleski said. “Quarterback Russell Wilson has taken command of Pittsburgh’s offense, to make it far more potent over the last three games. Standout rookie center Zach Frazier returned to the lineup on Sunday. George Pickens is quickly building a rapport with Wilson. Mike Williams made an excellent first impression with a touchdown on his very first catch as a member of the Steelers. Finally, the defense is flying around the field and creating havoc.”
“Pittsburgh leads the AFC North by a half-game. It has earned that spot. Most importantly, the squad is only getting better as it grows together.”

The Steelers’ offensive ceiling is higher now with the addition of Williams. Pittsburgh is hitting its stride at the perfect time, as six of its last eight games are against divisional opponents. There is growing optimism about the Steelers’ chance to make a deep playoff run with their improved offense under Wilson and their elite defense.
