Steelers Urged To ‘Unleash’ Justin Fields In This Situation Moving Forward

Should Pittsburgh consider this?

The Pittsburgh Steelers are in a fantastic place right now.

Pittsburgh won 10 games last year and already has seven wins after taking down the Washington Commanders on Sunday. The Steelers have Russell Wilson under center now, and he is 3-0 since taking over the job. Justin Fields led the team and was the starter for the first six games of the season.

The Steelers have plenty of talent, but Bleacher Report’s scouting department suggested that the team should make a change to get the team to an even higher level. Pittsburgh has Wilson under center and he’s been fantastic, but Bleacher Report suggested that the team should use Fields in Red Zone.

“Move to Make Now: Unleash Justin Fields in the Red Zone,” Bleacher Report said. “The Steelers have struggled to finish drives with touchdowns. They ranked 30th in red zone touchdown rate heading into Week 10 at just 46.4 percent. Justin Fields was obviously involved as the quarterback, but his numbers inside the 20 are good.

“He was 13-of-19 for 102 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions while adding another five touchdowns on the ground. Head coach Mike Tomlin has talked about the team having a “Justin Fields package” but we haven’t really seen it. The Steelers might need to get creative addressing the issue and Fields dual-threat ability could be just what the Steelers need.”

Pittsburgh is 7-2 but utilizing both Fields and Wilson could take the team to another level. The Steelers are looking like real Super Bowl threats thanks in large part to Wilson and Fields.
