The Pittsburgh Steelers continued to show that they are one of the best teams in football on Sunday as they took on the Washington Commanders.
Pittsburgh recently turned the offense over to Russell Wilson, and he has responded in a massive way. The Steelers are 3-0 with Wilson under center after taking down the Commanders on Sunday. The Steelers are trending in the right direction and currently are 7-2 and sit atop the AFC North standings heading into a pivotal matchup with the rival Baltimore Ravens.
Things are looking up for the Steelers, but they did get some rough news on Monday. Steelers starter Alex Highsmith reportedly is undergoing an MRI on Monday on his ankle and is expected to miss a “couple” of games, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac.
“Steelers (outside linebacker) Alex Highsmith having MRI today to determine extent of his ankle injury,”Dulac said. “Not known how long he will be out, tho probably at least a couple games. But Nick Herbig is expected back Sunday.”
Highsmith has appeared in six games for the Steelers so far this season and has three sacks and 19 total tackles. Pittsburgh certainly is going to need him to help put the defense in its best position. It’s unfortunate that he seemingly will miss the Ravens game, but things are looking up for the Steelers no matter what.
