Steelers Receiver Mike Williams Expected To Make Debut Vs. Commanders

Pittsburgh has a new playmaker

The Pittsburgh Steelers were one of the most active teams ahead of the National Football League trade deadline.

Pittsburgh was busy looking to add some wide receiver help and certainly did so by landing playmaker Mike Williams in a trade with the New York Jets. He should give the Steelers another option for Russell Wilson to throw to, and it doesn’t sound like fans will have to wait long to see him in action.

Williams is expected to make his team debut with the Steelers on Sunday against the Washington Commanders, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

“Both newly-acquired Steelers, (wide receiver) Mike Williams and (linebacker) Preston Smith, are expected to make their Pittsburgh debuts Sunday vs. Washington,” Schefter said.

This is a great sign for the Steelers. Pittsburgh has needed a boost in the wide receiver room, and Williams certainly should give the team exactly what it needs. A duo of Williams and George Pickens should be a fearsome duo for opposing teams. Things are looking up for Pittsburgh, and it sounds like we will get to see Williams against Washington.
