The Pittsburgh Steelers have been dealing with some unfortunate injuries but it seems like the franchise will be a little healthier as they take on the Washington Commanders on Sunday afternoon.
Pittsburgh is 6-2 on the season and currently in first place in the AFC North. A win over the surprising Commanders will keep Pittsburgh in the top spot in the division. It will be a tougher matchup than initially expected as the Commanders have somewhat shocked the National Football League world this season.
Washington is 7-2 with rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels leading the way and in first place in the NFC East. It should be a very good matchup, and the Steelers will have more reinforcements ready to go. Steelers quarterback Justin Fields and running back Cordarrelle Patterson both are off the injury report and are “good to go,” according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
“Steelers backup QB Justin Fields and RB/KR Cordarrelle Patterson are off the injury report and good to go vs. Washington,” Pelissero said.
Fields certainly has seen his role change with the team. He started the first six games of the season and has been the backup since. He missed a little bit of time but could see some time in packages. Fields may not see a lot of time against the Commanders, but don’t be shocked if he gets some action.

Patterson is an important piece of the offense who has missed time due to an ankle injury. He should add another important layer to a Steelers offense that is trending in the right direction.
