The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to continue their winning streak in Week 10 against the Washington Commanders.
Pittsburgh is 6-2 coming out of its bye week, winning its last three games. After being sidelined for the first six weeks of the season, Russell Wilson returned from injury and has led the Steelers to victories in both games he’s played. Pittsburgh’s offense has looked great under Wilson, totaling over 400 yards in each game, but they face a tough matchup against the 7-2 Commanders.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin spoke to the media Tuesday, praising the Commanders’ offense before their Week 10 matchup.
“I’m really impressed with, first and foremost, what they’re doing offensively, on their young signal caller. Quarterback mobility is an asset to him (Jayden Daniels), but I’ve been really impressed by his prudent use of it,” Tomlin said ahead of this weekend’s matchup.
“Not only him, but you’ve got to acknowledge Coach (Kliff) Kingsbury as the architect of it, their ability to prudently utilize his mobility, particularly in weighty moments, to keep the defense off balance, to win lines to gain, to score points, it shows up in a lot of situational statistics or circumstances. You couple that with their unique ball security. You lead the league in rushing touchdowns, you’re running the ball as effectively as a collective as they are – and you’ve only turned it over three times in nine games – man, you’re going to be 7-2.”

The Steelers defense has allowed the second-fewest points per game this season at 14.9 but will be tested in this matchup against an effective offense. Pittsburgh’s defense will have a new acquisition debuting in Preston Smith. This game could turn into a shootout if Pittsburgh’s offense maintains its high level of play.
