The Pittsburgh Steelers are in a great spot right now.
Pittsburgh is in first place in the AFC north with an impressive 6-2 record. The Steelers are on their bye week now and will return to the field on Nov. 10 against the surprising Washington Commanders. If the Steelers can continue to rack up wins, there’s no reason that they can’t make a big splash in the playoffs this year.
It’s a great time to be a Steelers fan and this team is worth investing in. The trade deadline will pass on Nov. 5 and the Steelers could be one of the best teams in football. Adding another receiver into the mix could help with this fact. One player who was floated as an option is New York Jets receiver Mike Williams by USA Today’s Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz.
“Mike Williams, WR, New York Jets: At 30 and coming off a torn anterior cruciate ligament suffered last September, he won’t truly stretch the field the way he did in 2019, when he averaged a league-best 20.4 yards per catch,” Middlehurst-Schwartz said “But he can still be an effective downfield target, particularly in this offense, while adding major value in the red zone. He’s superfluous to the Jets after the Adams trade, so both sides have cause to make this move materialize.”
Williams has been linked to the Steelers on numerous occasions over the last few weeks. A deal like this would give the Steelers a much-needed weapon for Russell Wilson without breaking the bank.

It’s unclear if the Jets still are open to moving Williams, but Pittsburgh should give New York a call at least to see what it would cost.
