As the search for wide receiver help continues for the Pittsburgh Steelers, two new options have become available thanks to an AFC East team.
Pittsburgh will head into the bye week with a 6-2 record, sitting atop the AFC North. They’ve done this by starting Justin Fields for six games and now Russell Wilson for the last two, displaying two completely different offenses but ones that have been successful under offensive coordinator Arthur Smith.
Even with the offense being successful, the Steelers are still trying to get that second wide receiver they’ve been looking for since Brandon Aiyuk was initially made available in the preseason. Pittsburgh has missed out a few times but remains adamant on adding — even with Van Jefferson and Calvin Austin III showing some signs alongside George Pickens.
The latest names to be potentially moved ahead of the NFL trade deadline come from the New England Patriots. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero have reported that wideouts K.J. Osborn and Kendrick Bourne have been made available — though one will take a lot more to acquire than the other.
“While Kendrick Bourne is the receiver who has garnered most of the trade rumors, it would take a large deal to pry him from New England,” Rapoport and Pelissero wrote. “A more likely trade possibility as a veteran option is Osborn, who is on a one-year deal and has thrived elsewhere.”

The Steelers will try to make a move before the Nov. 5 trade deadline, but they’ve already shown that they can compete against the best with what they have on the roster.
