If the Pittsburgh Steelers can take down the New York Giants on Monday night, they should be very aggressive ahead of the trade deadline.
Pittsburgh is 5-2 on the season, and a win on Monday over the Giants would put the Steelers in first place in the AFC North. The Baltimore Ravens lost against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday and now are 5-3 on the season. A win would give the Steelers a one-game lead at 6-2.
The Steelers have been linked to a handful of players with the Nov. 5 trade deadline approaching. The wide receiver position is one the Steelers need to address. They have been trying to do so but nothing has worked out yet.
If the Steelers were to win on Monday night, they should be even more aggressive. There will be options out there as we get closer to the deadline and USA Today’s Cory Woodroof suggested Carolina Panthers two-time Pro Bowler Adam Thielen as a fit.
“If the Steelers just want a reliable veteran in the room who can still play, Thielen is a good option,” Woodroof said. “Of the players on this list, he also might be the most affordable for trade terms. Thielen hasn’t played a lot this year because of injury, but he had 1,014 yards and four touchdowns last season.”

He may not have the biggest name on the trade block, but if he’s healthy soon, he could be a dependable option for Wilson on short throws. Thielen has three seasons with over 1,000 yards under his belt and seven with at least 700 yards. The Steelers don’t necessarily need a superstar. Adding someone like Thielen could be all the team needs.
