The Pittsburgh Steelers have not slowed down their search for a wide receiver and they are reportedly showing interest in another Pro Bowl wideout.
After missing out on San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk in the offseason and watching the Las Vegas Raiders deal Davante Adams to the New York Jets, the Steelers have gone back to the drawing board multiple times. Well, with another star wide receiver reportedly on the market, Pittsburgh has interest.
Sports Illustrated’s Noah Strackbein is reporting that the Steelers are interested in Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp.
“According to a team source, the Steelers are interested in acquiring Kupp from the Los Angeles Rams, and view the 31-year-old as their best option this year,” Strackbein wrote. “A ‘plug and play’ player, Pittsburgh believes Kupp could walk into UPMC Rooney Sports Complex and integrate himself with the offense almost immediately.”
Adding Kupp would transform the offense, which showed signs of dominance through the air and on the ground in their Week 7 win against the New York Jets.

The 31-year-old has 18 receptions, 147 receiving yards, and one touchdown through two games this season. He’s been out of action since injuring his ankle in Week 2 but will return to action Thursday night against the Minnesota Vikings.
The NFL Trade Deadline takes place on Nov. 5, meaning that the clock is ticking. For now, the Steelers will remain focused on the New York Giants who they face on “Monday Night Football.”
