Steelers Linked To Jets Receiver With Deadline Approaching, Per Insider

Pittsburgh will be busy over the next few weeks

Will the Pittsburgh Steelers find a way to bring another playmaker to town in the near future?

It’s certainly possible.

The 2024 National Football League trade is approaching and will pass on Nov. 5. Pittsburgh is 5-2 on the season and has proven that it is a team that is worth investing in. The Steelers were looking for a boost in the wide receiver room before the season even began but it makes even more sense for a deal now.

Pittsburgh looks like it’s going to be a playoff team. The Steelers have one of the best defenses in the league and the offense looks much better than last year. Adding another receiver to the mix should be a priority and ESPN’s Dan Graziano suggested New York Jets receiver Mike Williams as a fit.

“I was half-joking last week that the Jets would bring Mike Williams to Pittsburgh for ‘Sunday Night Football’ and then just leave him there,” Graziano said. “Though that didn’t happen, I don’t think anyone would be surprised to see Williams on the move — and possibly to the Steelers — at some point between now and the trade deadline.”

Williams has been mentioned as a fit for Pittsburgh on multiple occasions already since it was reported that the Jets could move him. The Steelers need another receiver and Williams could help on the outside. He has just 11 catches for 160 yards so far this season but could give Pittsburgh a major boost.

Keep an eye on him over the next few weeks.
