The Pittsburgh Steelers are building something special.
Pittsburgh is 5-2 on the season and is on pace to be much better than it was in 2023. The Steelers won 10 games last year and could be much better than that this year. If things continue to go their way, maybe they even could make some noise in the playoffs later this season.
Things are trending in the right direction, and the Steelers should be able to compete for years to come. The Steelers are filled with exciting, young talent. One big question will be who will be the Steelers’ quarterback for the foreseeable future beyond this season. Luckily, the Steelers have two possible solutions.
All in all, things are looking up in Pittsburgh right now. It’s too early to make predictions beyond this season, but each week, Bleacher Report’s scouting department addresses each team’s biggest needs in free agency now, next offseason, and in the draft. The receiver room is an area the Steelers could improve and Bleacher Report suggested Houston Texans receiver Stefon Diggs as a fit next offseason.
“There is, admittedly, some risk in pairing two receivers with big personalities like George Pickens and Stefon Diggs,” Bleacher Report said. “But it’s also true that the Steelers are going to have to surround next year’s starting quarterback with more talent.

“Diggs is showing in Houston that he’s still capable of separating from NFL coverages and making plenty of plays. That’s an element that the current Steelers offense is missing.”
Diggs is a four-time Pro Bowler who is on pace to possibly earn another nod this season. The Steelers will have the funds needed to sign someone like Diggs. It’s far too early to make a prediction like this, but it is a good thought.
