The Pittsburgh Steelers have been looking for ways to add another wide receiver to the offense.
This is a topic that has been consistently discussed over the last few months. Pittsburgh has been looking to add more offensive talent since at least the summer. The Steelers were in discussions with the San Francisco 49ers about a trade that would’ve landed star receiver Brandon Aiyuk in Pittsburgh.
Things unfortunately didn’t go the Steelers’ way. Aiyuk and the 49ers ended up agreeing to a mammoth new contract ahead of the 2024 season to the surprise of many.
Pittsburgh has been looking for other players to bring in. The Steelers were linked to Las Vegas Raiders superstar Davante Adams but missed out as he was traded to the New York Jets. Now, another playmaker seems to be on the Steelers’ radar.
The Steelers reportedly are one of the teams that have contacted the Jets about a possible deal centered around wide receiver Mike Williams, according to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini.

“The (Los Angeles Chargers), Steelers, and (New Orleans Saints) are among a number of teams reaching out to the Jets about (wide receiver) Mike Williams, per sources,” Russini said.
Williams is in his eighth season in the National Football League. He spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Chargers. Over that stretch, he had two seasons with over 1,000 yards, but injuries heavily impacted his career. It seems like he will be moved ahead of the deadline and Pittsburgh at least reportedly has shown interest.
