The Pittsburgh Steelers are in a fantastic spot right now.
Pittsburgh won 10 games last year and clearly is on a better pace right now. The Steelers currently are tied with the Baltimore Ravens for the top spot in the AFC North with a 4-2 record after taking down the Las Vegas Raiders in blowout fashion on Sunday, 32-13.
The Steelers are in a good spot, but every team could use a boost at this point. We are about to be in Week 7, and the Steelers could use a boost on the edge. Every contender should be considering ways to add more pass rushers, and because of this, Bleacher Report’s scouting department suggested Andre Carter as a fit.
“Add Now: EDGE Andre Carter, Minnesota Vikings Practice Squad,” Bleacher Report said. “Injuries have taken a toll on the Steelers’ depth along the defensive front. The defensive line and edge-rushers are one of the strongest groups on this team, and it’s going to be hard for them to compete if they continue dealing with injuries. Both Nick Herbig and Alex Highsmith were unavailable on Sunday, and DeMarvin Leal went on injured reserve.
“The options are few and far between at this point in the season. Someone like Andre Carter, a former undrafted free agent on the Vikings practice squad, could be worth a shot. He was the 11th-ranked edge prospect in the 2023 draft class on our big board and would be an interesting project for the Steelers.”

Landing Carter wouldn’t be a game-changer for the Steelers, but could help add more depth. Why not take a chance on a young player like Carter?
