Steelers Reportedly Have ‘Strong Interest’ In Superstar Wide Receiver

Will the Steelers pull off a trade?

It wouldn’t be too shocking to see the Pittsburgh Steelers pull off a blockbuster trade in the near future.

Pittsburgh is in a good spot. The Steelers are 3-2 on the young season and now will be facing off against the Las Vegas Raiders in a very winnable game on Sunday in Week 6 action.

The Steelers are expected to have Justin Fields under center once again and hopefully will be able to get back on track after losing the last two games. Pittsburgh lost the last two games by a combined six points and now will hopefully get back in the win column.

Pittsburgh could have some changes on the way in the near future, no matter what happens. The 2024 National Football League trade deadline is quickly approaching, and Pittsburgh has been looking for a new receiver. The Steelers could use another playmaker and reportedly have “strong interest” in a blockbuster trade for Raiders superstar Davante Adams, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

“The Steelers-Raiders game has an interesting subplot: Pittsburgh’s desire to trade for Davante Adams,” Fowler said. “The Steelers have strong interest in trading for the All-Pro receiver. The feeling among the people I’ve spoken to is Las Vegas has started with the Saints and Jets, in part because Adams is interested in playing there. But the longer this goes, perhaps the more things open up for a team such as Pittsburgh. Adams likely won’t be traded until next week at the earliest.”

Adams is one of the best receivers in football but is dealing with an injury. That likely is the biggest reason why he hasn’t been moved yet. He will soon, though, and Pittsburgh could be in the mix for him.
