The Pittsburgh Steelers have been in the market to upgrade their offense since the offseason, and a potential target may be emerging to upgrade their offense.
Since the offseason, Pittsburgh has been connected to practically every receiver on the trade block. They almost made a blockbuster deal to bring San Francisco 49ers star Brandon Aiyuk to the Steelers, but that fell through. They bided their time since, starting the season 3-0. But after two straight losses, now may be the perfect time to add to their offense.
One potential trade target who has emerged for the Steelers is Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins according to Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox.
“If Tennessee is ready to pull the plug on the Levis experiment, there’s little reason to retain Hopkins, who will be a free agent in 2025,” Knox said. “The 32-year-old, who has 10 catches for 121 yards and a touchdown this season, would provide more long-term value to the rebuilding Titans in a trade.”
“The Steelers, who aren’t getting quite enough from their passing attack, could be interested. Pittsburgh is 3-2 on the season but is still averaging just 178 passing yards per game.”

Steelers quarterback Justin Fields has played admirably this season, but the offense still needs improvement. Outside of George Pickens, Pittsburgh doesn’t have many pass-catching threats.
Hopkins could be a perfect solution. The veteran has caught ten passes for 121 yards and a touchdown in four games this season. Though Hopkins may not be the elite receiver he once was, he’s more than capable of being a threat for the Steelers. Trading for him would make sense for Pittsburgh as they strive to make a playoff run.
