Five-Time Pro Bowler Floated As Possible Trade Candidate For Steelers

Could a deal happen over the next few weeks?

Will the Pittsburgh Steelers land another top-tier receiver to pair with George Pickens?

Speculation has been building for months that the Steelers could be looking to add another weapon. Pittsburgh tried to get Brandon Aiyuk hard from the San Francisco 49ers, but things didn’t work out.

The 2024 National Football League trade deadline is just a few weeks away at this point, and rumors already are starting to pick up about who Pittsburgh could target. The Steelers recently have been linked to Las Vegas Raiders superstar Davante Adams, but he isn’t the only star who will be available.

Another player who has been floated as an option is five-time Pro Bowler DeAndre Hopkins by ESPN’s Dan Graziano.

“(Amari Cooper) would be one to watch for Pittsburgh, though it’d be an in-division trade, and those are tough to execute,” Graziano said. “I would expect the Steelers to be in on Davante Adams, along with DeAndre Hopkins, if he becomes available, and I do wonder about Christian Kirk in Jacksonville.”

Hopkins is a fellow star and could help the Steelers’ offense. So far this season, he has 10 receptions for 121 receiving yards and one touchdown. Pittsburgh is 3-1 one the young season, and Justin Fields has brought a lot of excitement to the organization at quarterback. Giving him another weapon like Hopkins could help take the offense to another level.

Could he be an option for Pittsburgh ahead of the trade deadline?
