It’s an exciting time to be a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Pittsburgh won 10 games last season and currently looks like a squad that can do much more than that. Pittsburgh is 3-1 on the young season heading into a pivotal Week 5 matchup against an undermanned Dallas Cowboys team. If the Steelers can come away with another win, that would be massive.
There’s a lot to like about the team. The offense could use a boost at receiver, but it overall is in a very good place. Plus, the Steelers now have two very good quarterbacks to choose from in Justin Fields and Russell Wilson.
Pittsburgh is in a good place and a legend wants to return to the organization in some capacity. Former Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger knows a thing or two about winning in Pittsburgh. He spent his entire 18-year National Football League career under center for the Steelers.
He retired after the 2021 season ended but wants to get back involved with the organization in some capacity and said so on “The Pat McAfee Show.”

“Yeah, I’m gonna be in Pittsburgh,” Roethlisberger said. “We’re not leaving here. This is home for us and I’m gonna pay attention. And I’d love to get involved with the Steelers at some point when it’s right. Whatever that looks like, I don’t know. But I enjoy being here. I enjoy what goes on here.”
Pittsburgh already is in a good spot but it wouldn’t hurt to bring a legend to town to help mentor its young quarterback.
