Visiting Pittsburgh’s Acrisure Stadium doesn’t seem to generate too much excitement from NFL players.
Playing the Steelers long has been a daunting task for visitors, as Pittsburgh fans always create a raucous environment for a team that typically plays a bruising brand of football. The Athletic recently conducted its anonymous players poll, which included a “least favorite NFL road trip” prompt. Pittsburgh clocked in as the 10th-worst on the list, but the pair of comments included in the column indicated the ranking could have been even worse.
“I would say Pittsburgh, because it smells like p–s in their locker room,” one player told The Athletic.
Another player added: “Even though it’s my vibe: tough. It’s just always gray and s—ty weather there.”
