Many see the Pittsburgh Steelers as a possible landing spot for disgruntled Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams.
But the Steelers, who already missed out on a big-time wideout when it failed to complete a deal for Brandon Aiyuk, could add to their receiver room by signing a much cheaper option — and a much lesser name, too.
It’s something the Steelers seem to be at least considering after they worked out slot wide receiver Andy Isabella on Tuesday, according to Joe Rutter of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
The 5-foot-9, 188-pound Isabella excited teams around the league when he flashed during the 2020 season with the Arizona Cardinal, but he’s done basically nothing since then. Isabella caught 21 passes on 35 targets for 224 yards and two touchdowns that season with the Cardinals but has recorded just three receptions in 15 games over the last three seasons.
After three-plus seasons with the Cardinals, Isabella also spent time with the Baltimore Ravens and appeared in two games with the Buffalo Bills last season.

Isabella wouldn’t transform the Steelers offense like Adams would, but it’s clear Pittsburgh wants to give Justin Fields another pass-catcher to build off its strong 3-1 start to the season.
