One former member of the Pittsburgh Steelers has found a new home after sitting on the open market.
Former Steelers linebacker Kwon Alexander has been looking for a new home after spending time with Pittsburgh in 2023. The former fourth-round draft pick appeared in nine games last season with the Steelers and made two starts. Over that stretch, Alexander logged one sack, one pass defended, one forced fumble, and 41 total tackles.
He was a solid piece for the Steelers but has been available in free agency. He now has landed a new opportunity after reportedly signing with the Denver Broncos’ practice squad, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
“Veteran free-agent (linebacker) Kwon Alexander is signing to the Denver Broncos practice squad, per source,” Schefter said.
Alexander is a nine-year National Football League veteran and it wouldn’t be shocking to see him end up on the field at some point this season with the Broncos. He is a one-time Pro Bowler who was selected in the fourth round of the 2015 National Football League Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He spent the first four seasons of his career in Tampa Bay where he had the most success of his career. Since then, he has spent time with the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, and Steelers. Now, he will look to make it back to an active National Football League roster as a member of the Broncos. Hopefully, he is able to get an opportunity in the not-so-distant future.
