Pittsburgh currently has two athletes who could be considered the best in the world at what they do, with Steelers pass-rusher T.J. Watt and Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes currently serving as the faces of sports in The Steel City.
Watt and Skenes are both in an incredibly unique situation and linked up Thursday for the first time.
“I gotta get some Pirates (expletive) at some point,” Watt joked before swapping jerseys with Skenes.
Skenes didn’t just stop in the equipment room, though, making his way down North Shore Drive and taking an entire tour of Acrisure Stadium where he also met up with Mike Tomlin, Justin Fields, Pat Freiermuth and a host of Steelers. It’s coming up on the end of the Pirates’ season, so soon enough Skenes should be able to make it out to a game to rock his new threads.
