The Pittsburgh Steelers are still looking to add another receiver to their offense this season.
The Steelers offense will look significantly different than last year. They brought in quarterbacks Justin Fields and Russell Wilson along with wide receiver Van Jefferson. Pittsburgh still has a question mark with their second wide receiver spot after the offseason departure of Diontae Johnson. The Steelers attempted to trade for San Francisco 49ers receiver Brandon Aiyuk but could not get a deal done.
The Steelers are listed as possible suitors for Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks according to Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox.
“While Cooper has consistently shown he can be a go-to target in the NFL, Burks may struggle to even see playing time in Tennessee,” Knox said. “DeAndre Hopkins is dealing with a knee injury that bears watching, but he, Tyler Boyd and Calvin Ridley are set to be its starting trio.”
“Just because the Titans haven’t fully tapped into Burks’ pre-draft potential—he was the 27th-ranked prospect on the Bleacher Report Scouting Department’s final 2022 draft board—doesn’t mean another team couldn’t use him. The Pittsburgh Steelers don’t have a proven No. 2 receiver behind George Pickens and should probably be linked to just about any wideout who becomes available.”

Burks is an intriguing option at receiver. The 24-year-old has 49 career receptions for 665 yards and a touchdown across two seasons with the Titans. It likely wouldn’t take much to acquire Burks who would give Pittsburgh more options at receiver. The Steelers have Jefferson as their No. 2 option currently but could trade for another receiver if an opportunity arises.
