Steelers Linked To Chiefs In Hypothetical Trade Proposal For 2024 Season

Will the Steelers pull off a trade?

The 2024 National Football League regular season finally is just about here.

After what has felt like a long summer, the new National Football League season is less than a week away. The Pittsburgh Steelers are in a good spot heading into the new campaign. Pittsburgh won 10 games last season and should be better this season with Russell Wilson as a clear upgrade at quarterbacker.

Pittsburgh has had to make some tough decisions over the last week to cut down the roster. Hundreds of players were cut across the league and some even were traded.

With the new season quickly approaching, Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine put together a list of hypothetical bold trade predictions ahead of the new season and mentioned the Steelers. He linked Pittsburgh to the Kansas City Chiefs in a possible deal involving a running back.

“It’s no secret the running back position has been devalued. But if the Chiefs believe that adding another talented back could put them over the top in their quest to three-peat as champions then it would be worth it to them,” Ballentine said. “Notable trade targets that could make sense include either of the Pittsburgh Steelers running backs Jaylen Warren and/or Najee Harris. Both are set to become free agents after this season and it’s unlikely the Steelers pay both of them. If the Steelers struggle early in the season they might be willing to deal one of them to the Chiefs and get something in return.”

Pittsburgh has two talented rushers on the roster in Warren and Harris. It would be surprising to see the Steelers make a trade involving either. While this is the case, keep a close eye on Pittsburgh if it somehow has a slow start to the season.
