Steelers Important Offensive Weapon Goes Down With Hamstring Injury

Pittsburgh got some bad news on Saturday

The Pittsburgh Steelers got some bad news on Saturday night.

Pittsburgh faced off against the Buffalo Bills with much of the attention of the game being on quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. Both quarterbacks took the field on Saturday night so most of the headlines focused on the battle between the two quarterbacks for Pittsburgh’s starting job.

The Steelers unfortunately got some bad news throughout the game as young running back Jaylen Warren went down with a hamstring injury, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

“Steelers RB Jaylen Warren sustained a hamstring injury (Saturday) and the team says he now is doubtful to return vs. the Bills,” Schefter said.

Much of the chatter throughout came has been about the quarterbacks, but losing Warren for any amount of time would be a massive loss. The Steelers are expected to give him a lot of time on the field, along with fellow running back Najee Harris. Warren is entering his third season with Pittsburgh and has developed into a true offensive weapon for the team.

Last season Warren had just under 800 rushing yards in just 149 carries to go along with four touchdowns on the ground. He also added 61 receptions for 370 receiving yards. Hopefully, exiting the contest was just a precaution and Warren is able to return to the field in the near future with the 2024 National Football League season quickly approaching.
