Newly-Acquired Pirates Utility Man Makes Bold Prediction About 2025 Season

Pittsburgh has a bright future

There’s a lot to like about the Pittsburgh Pirates right now.

Pittsburgh has struggled since the All-Star break, but Pirates fans still should have hope. The Pirates currently are six games out of a National League Wild Card spot but the team has a bright future whether or not they make the playoffs in 2024.

The Pirates are loaded with young talent and they should be even better in 2025. Pittsburgh has been better this season than expected and likely will take another step forward in 2025. Newly-acquired Pirates utility man Isiah Kiner-Falefa has so much hope for Pittsburgh that he even predicted that the club will win 100 games or more next year, according to 93.7 The Fan’s Greg Finley.

“We can make a run this year and hopefully we can find a way to get in, Kiner-Falefa said as transcribed by Finley. “I actually see this team being a 100-win team next season year. So I’m excited that I have next year here and I look at the pitching staff, you don’t have to go out and get any free agents from a pitching front. I think the only guy that is a free agent is Aroldis Chapman. Other than that, you look at the pitchers, this is where guys want to play.”

Pittsburgh is building something special right now. The Pirates are loaded with top prospects who are starting to make their way to the big leagues. Give them another year and maybe the Pirates could make some noise in 2025.
