The Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly have a deal to add a Pro Bowler to their offense.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that the Steelers have a deal in place to acquire wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk from the San Francisco 49ers.
“The Steelers and 49ers have a deal on a potential trade and PIT is in a good place on an Aiyuk contract, sources say,” Rapoport reported on X. “If SF gives the final sign-off, it’s done.”
Rapoport also adds that the 49ers have a long-term offer to Aiyuk, which the wideout hasn’t yet accepted.
NFL insider Josina Anderson provided an update after Rapoport’s report, saying that Pittsburgh believes a deal is complete on their end and “‘has been’ for an unspecified period now.”

The 26-year-old is coming off the best season of his career for San Francisco. Aiyuk had a career-high in receiving yards with 1,342 on 75 receptions. He also caught seven touchdowns, recording five or more in each of his first four NFL seasons.
It remains to be seen whether or not Aiyuk does join the Steelers as their new No. 1 wide receiver. Even with a deal reportedly in place, it comes down to the 49ers deciding in the end.
